Welcome to a Brand New Year
Notes on an Unusual Year
The end of a year always invites a pause. Not the rushed kind, but the intentional one—where you look back honestly before stepping forward with hope.
This past year didn’t move the way many of us expected. The beginning came in with momentum, optimism, and plans that felt familiar. And then somewhere in the middle, the pace shifted. The market slowed. Summer arrived without the usual flurry that so many of us in real estate are accustomed to. It took some getting used to—not because slower is bad, but because it was different.
Different asks us to adjust. To listen. To learn.
And that’s what this year did.
While the middle of the year stretched us, the end of it wrapped things up with surprising grace. Challenges gave way to clarity. What felt uncertain earlier began to make sense later. I found myself deeply grateful—not just for transactions completed, but for people served.
Helping families find their next chapter. Guiding individuals through big, sometimes emotional decisions. Being trusted during moments that mattered. That part of my work never loses its meaning, no matter what the market is doing.
Outside of real estate, this year gently nudged me back toward creativity. I found joy in making things again—writing, designing, dreaming. I leaned into slower moments and realized how much I needed them. Time with family felt richer. Even the quiet moments felt purposeful.
We ended the year the way I’ve come to love most—together. My husband and I wrapped up our break with a trip to Connecticut to visit my mother-in-law. There’s something grounding about changing scenery at the close of a year, about seeing where others come from and letting that perspective settle your own heart before January begins.
As we step into this new year, my wish is simple and sincere:
That you feel steady where you are.
Hopeful about where you’re headed.
And confident that growth doesn’t always need to be loud to be meaningful.
If home is on your mind this year—whether buying, selling, investing, or simply understanding what the current market means for you—I’d love to be a resource. The market may look different than years past, but opportunity still exists for those who move thoughtfully and with good guidance.
Here’s to a year of intention, beauty, wise decisions, and homes that truly support the lives lived inside them.
Welcome to the new year.
Let’s make it a meaningful one.
